Storm started strong and determined not to let this game slip through their fingers. There was some excellent defence and attacking play with Storm missing many chances in the first half.
Even though the half time score was nil all, it could have easily been at least 3 nil in favour of Storm.
The second half was not as entertaining as the first half but the deadlock was broken when Brendon Myers slipped one past the goalkeeper in the 33rd minute and Mykel Watson making no mistake of penalty awarded late in the game.
Hats off to some great saves by Matt McAtear, Nathan Skinner, Mitch Weeden and some top scrambling defence by Michael Turner. The midfield was solid and the flanks worked hard all evening.
It was good to see Storm playing their natural attacking game this week.
Possession is the name of the game lads – let’s continue to work on this.
