Northern Storm Vs Westlawn Tigers men’s Reserve Grade.
It was a mild winters day in Grafton for the match between Northern Storm and Westlawn Tigers at Barnier Part Saturday 29th of June at 1pm. It was a torrid start with Westlawn throwing everything at the Storm for the first half but Storm struck first with a goal from Dut Garang in the 9th minute of the game. The Storm seemed to dominate the game, but Westlawn kept the score 1-0 to the Storm in the first half.
The second half started much the same as the first half and in the 8th minute Enoch Marc for the Storm scores with a great strike. It wasn’t long after in the 16th minute Dut Garang scored his second for the day. The storm were frustrating the Westlawn keeper and in the 22nd minute he conceded an own goal kicking the ball into the net while trying to clear it.
Jayden Katchel was the Storms man of the match. It was great to see him play so hard after coming back from injury, well done Jayden. Westlawn with all the young players have lost today but you guys played very good, well done to all the Westlawn team and thanks for the game. Special thanks to Kieran Clerk for putting on a great party for all the boys after the game. It was a fantastic night and all the boys want to say thank you Kieran. Yip Yah!
