It was a hard day at the office on Saturday the 27th July at Poleworth Drive for the Northern Storm when they faced off with Coffs Tigers. The Tigers wanted a win and they came ready to play. The Storm started a bit flat but increased the intensity as the game progressed. A goal from the tigers in the 35th minute of the first half shocked the Storm into aggression mode, and in the 42nd minute of the first half Paul Malith found the net with a good goal making it 1-1 at half time.
The second half started the same, Tigers were dominating play in the opening ten minutes. The Storm started to come back and seemed to dominate most of the second half. The Storm couldn’t find the net on numerous occasions. The final score was a 1-1 all draw.
There were some very good individual performances from the Storm with Paul Malith, Salvador Wamara and the man of the match Cameron Jones. Well done to those three lads. I think we should have won this game, we have played a lot better then what we did this weekend. Hopefully we can get our full side back from injury and suspensions and make our charge for finals.
