Prior to the commencement of the match, the coaching staff stressed the importance of this match in particular the need to dominate the match from the opening whistle and for our stikers to be “clinical” with their opportunities.
The lads, coaching staff and the crowd didn’t have to wait long to celebrate – one and a half minutes into the game and Evan Williams scored followed by Brendon Myers in the 4th minute and then Brendon scored his second in the 19th minute. 3 quick goals in the first half made it a very tough situation for Orara.
At half time the coaching staff requested that the lads hold their positional play and they did. Again the Storm defence was solid and “raids” from midfield kept happening all game. Second half goals were scored by Grant Scully in the 19th minute and Brendon picked up his hat-trick in the 35th minute.
A good effort lads.
