U/9 HURRICANES ROUND 8 –V- CORINDI BREAKERS.
Having the week off due
to wet weather certainly made the team hungry for some game time this
week. They came out of the blocks like bullets. The team didn’t
show any signs of being a little rusty, the passing was fantastic and their
positioning in open space was up there with the best start of a game this
year. There were plenty of goals being scored from all over the park,
taking advantage of a strong southerly wind. The second half proved a
little more difficult running into the wind. The defence held up and the
guys and gals came away by far the stronger team. It did seem that the
team got a little slack though in the second half after such a strong first
half. A special mention this week goes to Breah for outstanding
tackling and running off the ball and to Sam for great skills and
passing.
A further big pat on the
back to Jack and Araken for helping out as we were short due to injuries and
holidays. Both the boys were great in goals.
Coach Scott said he was
happy with the first half and the way they played but not so happy with the
second half. He will work on not getting too confident after a great
start.
