Northern Storm Team	Under 11’s Blizzards

Opposition	Woolgoolga Dolphins
Coach / Manager	Michael Brear
Match Report: In hot conditions our Blizzards got the year off in style. Woolgoolga are a good side with a number of rep players and a good coach. We started slowly and were down 2 nil early on, we pegged one back but went into halftime 3- 1 down. Some close chances to Luke McLennan and Leon nearly closed the gap. The boys at halftime were reminded of the need to let the ball do as much work as possible, to talk more, and to make the easy pass to a team mate. Some great goalkeeping by both our keepers for this game, Luke Green and Ethan Brooks kept us in the match, some clever defending by Lachlan Sullivan as well was fantastic. We went down 5 to 2 and we decided to at this stage have a red hot go as I know the boys can score goals and quickly, with some excellent teamwork and passing , with Nelson Sharp leading the way we managed to snag 3 late goals to level the game. Special mention to Campbell Brear for the 3 goals late, but as he knows he couldn’t have scored without his teammates. We haven’t trained yet this year, made some errors coming out of trouble, at goal kicks etc , but the boys will improve out of sight going forward and a good year beckons. Michael Brear
